Injectors Car Club sets SASi fundraiser

The Injectors Car Club will be hosting a fundraiser for the Sandpoint Area Seniors on Wednesday, June 13, at Burger Express in Sandpoint.

Between the hours of 5-7 p.m., all of the proceeds will be donated to SASi. In addition, Injectors members said it will be a good chance to check out the local classic cars in the parking lot as well as seeing them take a turn at serving the public.

The club will then turn around and hold a barbecue and car show at the Sandpoint Senior and DayBreak centers.

Proceeds from the June 13 barbecue will help cover the costs of the June 16 barbecue at the centers, said Sandpoint Area Seniors, Inc. Executive Director Ellen Weissman.

The Injectors Car Club has a common thread in helping out community groups since it first fired up in the 1960s as a club. Whether cruising to the local senior facilities, putting on an annual car show which helps raise funds for donations to Hospice, Toys for Tots, the food bank or Community Cancer Services giving back has been a big part of what they do, club members said.
