Timothy brothers offering Football Training Camp

| June 8, 2018 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Matthew and Jake Timothy, former Bulldog football standouts, are offering a Football Training Camp for any and all kids between 12-16 years-old starting on June 18 at Great Northern Field.

The weekly camps will offer two-hour sessions, one for 12-14 year-olds from 10 a.m. to noon, and another for 14-16 year-olds from 5-7 p.m. The cost is $45 per day per player.

Jake played receiver last season at Ashland University in Ohio, and plans to try and walk on at Boise State in this fall. He and his brother Matthew are looking to share their love and knowledge of the game with anyone willing to learn.

“Not only knowledge and physical attributes, but building a future camaraderie,” said Jake, who along with his brother played receiver for coach Satini Puailoa in Sandpoint. “We’re trying to give back to the community and help them become better athletes.”

The camps will also feature coaching from former Bulldog nose tackle Jeffrey Kappen and former Bulldog and Montana Tech quarterback Davan Norris, offering something for all positions. The camps will run the gamut of football skills, and will offer a great workout.

“Teaching drills, techniques, running form, how to catch the ball properly, footwork drills, ladder drills,” explained Jake of what the campers will get. “The first half hour is technique and specialized skill, and the second part is more competition, bringing everyone together.”

To sign up, or for more information, email Jake at “j.timothyhealth@gmail.com,” or call him at (908) 914-1641. Campers can also sign up prior to the start of the first sessions on June 18.
