Skyhawks sports camps on tap

SANDPOINT — A pair of youth sports camps are offered for kids ages 3-7 years-old this summer in Sandpoint.

Sandpoint Parks and Rec is partnering with Skyhawks to offer the Tiny Hawk Soccer Camp for kids ages 3–4 years-old, with two sessions available. Session No. 1 runs from June 18-22 and costs $69, and Session No. 2 goes on July 2, 3, 5, 6 and is offered for$49. Each Session will meet at Travers Park (2102 Pine st) from 8–8:45 a.m. each day.

The Tiny Hawk Soccer Camp is designed specifically for pre-school aged kids. It will introduce the essentials of soccer through games and activities, balance exploration, hand/eye coordination and skill development. Participants must be toilet trained in order to participate.

The Mini Hawk Soccer, Baseball and Basketball Camp is for kids ages 4-7 years-old, also with two Sessions are available. Session No. 1 is June 18-22 for $129, and Session No. 2 is July 2, 3, 5, 6 for $119. Each Session will meet at Travers Park from 9 a.m. to noon.

The Mini Hawk Camp is a baseball, basketball and soccer program designed to give young children a fun and positive first step into athletics. Through games and activities, campers explore balance, hand/eye coordination and skill development at their own pace.

The Session No. 1 registration deadline is June 11, while the Session No. 2 deadline is June 26 for both camps.
