May 31

Report of a theft on W. Lake Street at 9:10 a.m.

Officers and Selkirk Fire responded to a family offense reported on Halley Street at 11:14 a.m.

Officers responded for a welfare check on N. Lincoln Avenue at 12:07 p.m.

Officers were advised of a possible intoxicated driver en route to the area of Pine and Ontario at 12:20 p.m.; the vehicle and driver never arrived in the area.

A vehicle theft was reported in the area of Pine Street and Euclid Avenue at 12:05 p.m.

A case was assigned to cover a report of information on S. Boyer Avenue at 12:47 p.m.

A municipal code violation was reported on Olive Avenue at 2:06 p.m.

An officer assisted a citizen on Euclid Avenue at 2:03 p.m.

Information was relayed to law enforcement on Larch Street at 2:27 p.m.

A male panhandling in the 700 block of Fifth Avenue at 2:30 p.m.

Officers checked on a vehicle parked in someone’s driveway in the 900 block of W. Lake Street at 2:34 p.m.

Unknown suspects entered a vacant residence in the 1600 block of Westwood Drive at 3:30 p.m.

A natural death occurred on St. Clair Avenue at 3:44 p.m.

A citizen who locked their keys in their vehicle in the 200 block of Halley Street was able to get a ride at 4:13 p.m.

An officer was unable to contact a citizen who wanted to report a suspicious vehicle in the 1200 block of Turbine Drive at 4:51 p.m.

Officers checked on two children in the 200 block of Church Street at 6:35 p.m.; their parents were located nearby

A reckless driver was reported eastbound on Highway 2 from Priest River at 6:40 p.m.

A resident who forgot where he parked his vehicle in the area of First and Main found it before officers arrived at 8:58 p.m.

Tiffany F. Mistelske, 28, of Sandpoint was arrested in the 476900 block of Highway 95 at 9:06 p.m. on a charge of resisting/obstructing an officer; and Nicholas W. Shuff, 29, was arrested at the same time and location on charges of resisting/obstructing an officer, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia and cited on a charge of petit theft.

An officer assisted Ponderay Police on a call in the Highway 95 area at 9:06 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate a reported reckless driver in the 400 block of Michigan Street at 9:38 p.m.

A bicycle and lawn chairs were taken from a residence in the 1100 block of Sixth Avenue at 10:30 p.m.

Officers checked a residence in the 100 block after a welfare check request at 10:38 p.m. and advised everything was fine but the outdoor motion lights were shorting out.

June 1

An officer on foot patrol downtown located an unsecured building on N. First Avenue at 2:25 a.m.; he locked it up and notified the owner.

An officer responded to a report of trespassing in the 1100 block of Fontaine Drive at 6:56 a.m.

A follow-up report was taken in the area of Schweitzer Plaza and Triangle drives at 10:52 a.m.

An officer assisted a citizen on Bonner Mall Way at 6:16 p.m.
