Clark Fork Volleyball Camp on tap Thursday

| June 13, 2018 1:00 AM

CLARK FORK — Attention any youth volleyball players entering the 3rd through 6th grades: The Clark Fork Volleyball Camp will be held on Thursday, June 14 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Learn the basics of volleyball, from passing to serving and even some hitting for the more advanced players, from current Wampus Cat players as well as coaches Cindy Derr, Lyndsie Kiebert and Michelle Valliere.

The 3rd/4th grade net will be lowered to 6-6, while the 5th/6th grade net will be 7-0. The Wampus Cat varsity, which figures to field a state placing caliber team next fall, is trying to earn money for accessories to their current uniforms.

“It’s going to be fun,” said Cats head coach Cindy Derr. “It’s one of the only volleyball camps around this summer.”

The camp is $30 per player, and Derr is hoping anyone who wants to attend the camp can contact her today so she has a head count prior to Thursday.

Please call 208-266-1276 or email clarkforkjuniors@hotmail.com by Wednesday evening to guarantee your spot in class. Campers can also come early on Thursday to sign up before the camp starts.

Clark Fork will also play host to a setters camp on June 25 and 26, and then a team camp on July 6 put on by Matt, Jack and Amy Dyck, all three of whom have Division 1 college coaching experience.
