SANDPOINT — The Idaho Lakes Commission plans to cover a lot of ground when it meets on Friday, June 15.

The meeting starts at 9 a.m. in the Bonner County Administration Building with the commission invoking a newly adopted state law that enables the board to have representation during renegotiation of the Columbia River Treaty. Logan Osgood-Zimmerman of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers follows with an update on operations at Albeni Falls Dam.

Dale Van Stone of the Idaho Water Resources Board is slated to update the commission on management of Priest Lake’s water level and upgrades to Outlet Bay Dam and the Thorofare. James Shannon of Bonner County Parks & Recreation, meanwhile, will give a presentation on the issue of boat wakes.

Amanda Wilson of Sandpoint Public Works will take the commission through stormwater upgrades and the city’s wastewater discharge permit. Milton Ollerton, Bonner County’s planning director, will speak with the board about planning updates and Kate Wilson will provide an update on upstream aquatic invasive species upstream.

The meeting concludes with a public comment portion.
