Unethical hunters give the rest a bad name

| June 13, 2018 1:00 AM

Attention trespassing hunter: You are disgusting and a discredit to the ethical hunter. You are the only reason we are saying no to accessing or hunting on our private lands. We are on five years with three of our neighbors who have no respect for their fellow neighbors’ private lands. Bear season is in progress in our neighborhood. You took down signs and trespassed to shoot a female bear with a spring cub. We are in a section of Unit 1 with no bait/no dogs allowed. Say what?

You trespass and lurk on the hillside of a private landowner to shoot the bear crossing the road in the darkness of the morning with your spotlight, load it and scurry home. You actually cut down trees on private land to make a through access with your ATV to gain access to your buddy’s land, then you both trap, snare and hunt on that private land. You think no one knows, sees or hears you?

All previous action to stop these unethical hunts has not worked. The massive annihilation of predator/prey species in five years is outrageous. No cougar, bear or wolf would or could do the damage we have witnessed by these three men.

Unethical trespassing hunters are giving ethical hunters a bad rap. You scrawny, sneaky, stinkin’ bums need to stay off my private land.
