Sandpoint Strikers School offers pro soccer coaching

SANDPOINT — Once again, the Strikers Soccer School is delivering a trio of professional players to run the popular week long camp, which starts on Monday, June 18 at Farmin Stidwell.

Longtime camp coach and current Tacoma Stars indoor pro and Sandpoint High School head coach Evan McNeley will join Strikers Director of Coaching Rick Mullins as camp directors.

Mikel Palmerin returns from last year, ready to share the knowledge he’s learned while not only playing for the U.S. Beach Soccer Team, but also coaching the pro beach team in San Diego. He’s also the varsity head coach at LaJolla High School.

The final pro coach is Mike Ramos, who was drafted by Toronoto FC in the Major League Soccer draft, and currently plays for the Puerto Rico FC of the North American Soccer League. Also coaching this year is former Bulldog standout Anthony Fox, who is now coaching the Sandpoint JV team.

The Premier I Camp is for U8-U11, and runs Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The cost is $130 and includes a camp T-Shirt and soccer ball.

The Premier II camp is for U12-U15, and goes from 2-4 p.m. each day. Cost is $130 and includes a T-Shirt and soccer ball. Remember to use fall age when registering for the camp.
