To celebrate our teachers, Cedar Hills’ Youth Ministry kids wrote thank you cards to each teacher and staff member at Kootenai Elementary School. Each card included beautiful words and drawings and also a gift card at a local coffee house.
Last year, Cedar Hills Church asked if the church could “adopt” neighboring Kootenai Elementary to provide extra assistance for the school’s students.
“Kids aren’t just the future, they’re the ‘now,’ ” youth pastor Andrew Muncherian explained. “As a church we’ll take any chance we can find to help kids see that they don’t have to grow up to make a difference in our community.
“It seemed like a perfect idea for them to give back to a group of people that have given so much to them over the past year. Thank you to all our school teachers, administrators, and staff for investing in the life of kids.”
