Lillian “Ruth” (Johnson) Asher, 92, passed away on May 25, 2018, at her home on Lakeshore Drive. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 22, 2018, at Pinecrest Cemetery.

Ruth was born on Aug. 6, 1925, in Hyden, Kentucky, the daughter of Elmer E. Sizemore and Ota Sizemore. Ruth Graduated from Leslie County High School In 1942.

Ruth married Leo R. Johnson on Aug. 31st, 1943. Leo retired from the U.S. Air Force on Dec. 31, 1964. The following June, Leo, Ruth and their four children, Leo ll, Judy, John and Mark, moved to Sandpoint, Idaho.

Ruth’s husband, Leo passed away on Oct. 26, 1996. In 1998, Ruth married Robert Asher. They were divorced in 2007.

Ruth was a generous, caring wife and mother who loved and enjoyed her family.

Ruth is survived by children, Leo R Johnson ll (Spokane, Wash.), Mark A. Johnson (Sandpoint), Judith A. Johnson (Talent, Ore.); eight grandchildren, Brian Johnson (Seattle, Wash.), Matthew Johnson ( Hollywood, Fla.) Scott Johnson (Spokane), Dustin Monda ( Ashland, Ore.), Jeremy Johnson (Boise, Idaho), Christopher Johnson ( White Salmon, Wash.), Michael Johnson ( Sandpoint), and Lindsey Monda (Talent). As well as great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and her beloved dachshund, Max.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo; husband, Robert; and son, John E. Johnson.
