Priest River Ace Hardware, 5499 Highway 2, has announced the winners of its anniversary celebration prize drawing.

Winning the $1,000 grand prize was Robert Chavez of Sandpoint. Winning a $500 prize each were Gary Go and Jan Barbarino, both of Priest River. Michael Uhnak of Priest River won a Craftsman tool chest, Ken Harroun won a YETI cooler, and Randy Butler won a Weber barbecue grill. In addition, winning $50 were Hoodoo Bob, Rush Balison, John Davis and Tracy Naccarato

Priest River Ace Hardware owners Roger and Annie Gregory and their family held the celebration to mark the store’s 50th year of business.

The store got its start as Buck’s Hardware in downtown Priest River, being purchased by the Gregories in 1968. After five years, Priest River Ace Hardware moved to the property on Highway 2 where they still are today. Now associated with the ACE Hardware chain, the hardware store has grown from its original 9,500 square feet to more than double that as the result of three expansions.
