Send Hoopfest photos to Bee next week for publication

SANDPOINT — Plenty of basketball players from Sandpoint, Clark Fork and Priest River will be in action this weekend at Hoopfest, the largest outdoor 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the world.

Along with those Dirk Nowitzki step back 3-pointers, those Sam Perkins jump hooks and those George “The Iceman” Gervin finger rolls, don’t forget to snap a picture of your team and send in into the Daily Bee next week.

Folks no doubt got a kick out of the typo in Friday’s Bee, stating there will be 6,000 players at Hoopfest. Anyone who has ever played in the two-day hack-fest of a tournament knows there are fare more than that. It should have stated that more than 6,000 teams will be in action.

Many of them will hail from Bonner County, which has produced plenty of past bracket winners. Regardless if you go undefeated or don’t win a game, let the Bee know how you fared.

Send a team picture, with team name and player names, along with any info or highlights, to “eplummer@bonnercountydailybee.com.”

Any and all submitted pics from Sandpoint, Clark Fork or Priest River will be published on the sports page.

Have fun, and best of luck to all the Bonner County ballers representing.
