Church hosting beekeeping class

| March 6, 2018 12:00 AM

First Presbyterian is hosting a class featuring a new concept in bee keeping this weekend.

Join the group on Saturday, March 10, at 10 a.m. for a new approach to beekeeping. Andy Kennaly will present the A-Z bee hive system, developed over many years in the country of Slovenia, for a superb quality of honey. This technique involves no heavy lifting and is friendlier to the bee; it is a concept of drawers in a cabinet, rather than our typical Langstroth technique of stacked boxes.

Andy will have the Slovenian bee hive system, without bees, for demonstration. Slovenia is a country with geography and climate similar to North Idaho.

The event will be at the First Presbyterian Church, 417 N. Fourth Ave, Sandpoin. Call 208-304-5488 for information.
