Priest River girls announce banquet Freshman guard Haylie Pierson, left, and the Spartan girls basketball team will hold its awards banquet on Friday, March 9 at 5 p.m. in the Priest River High School cafeteria. The team was unusually young this season, and suffered some of the requisite growing pains in a strong Intermountain League, but will be stronger for it in the future as nearly every player still has at least two seasons left. The winter sports season is over, and the baseball, softball, golf and track teams are now busy getting ready for the 2018 spring sports season. Season preview…
