(Photo by ERIC PLUMMER) Spring may officially still be 12 days away, but that didn’t stop locals Desmond Esh, left, and younger brother Connor Esh from enjoying a sunny Wednesday afternoon by hitting the slides on the playground at City Beach in Sandpoint. With mid-40s temperatures, bright sunshine and no wind, it felt spring-like, save for the eight inches of snow still blanketing the grounds at City Beach. More sun and temperatures in the 50s are expected for this weekend, which should speed up the melting process considerably.
