Silica mine will be new industry

A new industry is in store for Albany (sic) Falls, providing a road can be opened to the mine. A fine deposit or mine of silica has been recently taken over by the Washington Brick & Lime company, and if all goes well a mill for utilizing the same will be erected at the falls, giving employment to 25 or 30 men. Silica is ordinarily used in glass making, but as glass factories are so far removed from the scene of operation, the silica here will be used for making fire brick and lining furnaces. Work will be started at once, provided a right of way can be secured to the mine.
