What keeps us together as a society, especially in America where diverse communities live, work and play together side-by-side? Venerable Thubten Chodron, founder and abbess of Sravasti Abbey, the Buddhist monastery near Newport, Wash., speaks on connectedness at North Idaho College on April 3 from 6:30-8 p.m.

Venerable Chodron’s talk focuses on the shared values and ordinary virtues that people often take for granted, yet keep us alive and connected to each other. This event is free and open to the public. Donations to Sravasti Abbey are welcome. For more information contact Chris at 208-667-3813 or Susan at 208-512-1524 or see the Event Schedule at sravastiabbey.org.
