SANDPOINT POLICE

March 11

Officers located a male in the Cedar Street area at 6:48 a.m. who had disturbing comments on Facebook; he advised it was a joke.

A follow-up report was taken in the area of Bridge Street and Railroad Depot Road at 8:35 a.m.

The owner of a vehicle blocking access to the 200 block of N. First Avenue was contacted at 9:40 a.m. and asked to move it.

A vehicle backing out in the 1000 block of Ruth Avenue struck a parked car at 10:44 a.m.

A vehicle was reported keyed in the 400 block of S. Boyer Avenue at 11:59 a.m.

Officers were canceled while en route to check on two juveniles reported to be walking on the ice with no adult supervision in the Bridge Street area at 1:10 p.m.; their parents came and picked them up.

A parent complained to police at 3:34 p.m. after two adults spoke to her children at City Beach about religion.

An elderly female was given a courtesy transport back to her residence from the 600 block of Larch Street at 4:07 p.m.

After a welfare check request at 5:31 p.m., an officer checked on an adult female in the 200 block of Halley Street; she was OK.

Officers and Selkirk Fire responded to what was reported as an injury accident but turned out to be a female who had slipped on the ice in the area of Main Street and N. Division Avenue at 6:54 p.m.

Michael G Johnson, 18, of Dover, was cited in the 1600 block of Highway 2 at 7:50 p.m. on a charge of driving without privileges.

When an intoxicated male refused to speak to law enforcement, a female was escorted out of the residence in the 1300 block of Hickory Street at 11:09 p.m. and given a courtesy transport to a relative’s home.

March 12

A male, who was upset that he purchased a train ticket for the wrong day, was given a courtesy transport to his residence from the Railroad Depot Road area at 1:22 a.m.

PONDERAY POLICE

March 11

An officer took a report of an animal problem in the 800 block of Kootenai Cutoff Road at 7:28 a.m.

An officer assisted a citizen on Highway 95 at 1:09 p.m.

Kara J. Wallers, 36, of Clark Fork was cited in the 476900 block of Highway 95 at 1:35 p.m. on a charge of petit theft.

An officer took a report of burglary in the 476999 block of Highway 95 at 5:25 p.m.

An officer assisted Sandpoint Police in the 1300 block of Hickory Street at 11:09 p.m.

An officer assisted another agency on Dixon Street at 12 p.m.

A case was assigned to cover an agency assist in the 500 block of Highway 57 at 1:41 p.m.

Report of an alarm on Highway 2 in Priest River at 10:24 p.m.
