Three local firefighters more than held their own at the Firefighter Stairclimb recently in Seattle, the biggest event of its kind. Representing Selkirk Fire, from left to right, are Connor Robinson, Tennille Toussaint and Gwen Le Tutour. The three climbed the Columbia Center, all 69 floors, in full firefighter gear of approximately 50 pounds and on air with the breathing apparatus. Le Tutour finished 25th out of more than 2,000 firefighters from around the world, in a time of 14 minutes and six seconds. Toussaint was the 30th female in 21 minutes, while Robinson was 1,096th …
