CONGRATULATIONS FROM POCATELLO

Captain Taylor is in receipt of the following: “My Dear Captain: I wish to congratulate you and your company on the quick action and willing response to quiet the I.W.W. situation at St. Maries, and am very glad that everything was so carried out that no blood was shed. I am only sorry that Company D was not with you. Of course we never know just when we will have the same thing to contend with in this end of the state and are ready any old time they start anything. Company D sends our best regards and wishes to members of your company. Yours very respectfully, S.E. Anderson, Captain, Co. D, 3d Idaho Infantry.”

The county board will call in the class 1 men beginning March 29, until the quota is finished, not to exceed five days’ time. The men will be entrained for Camp Lewis to undergo physical examination. If they pass, they are duly assigned to regular duty; if they fail, other names are drawn until a quota is furnished which is accepted at Camp Lewis.
