This year’s 17th school shooting at a high school in Maryland on Tuesday morning should motivate us to find a common solution. I do not want to take away anyone’s Second Amendment rights. I do not believe that defenders of gun rights want to see our children killed in preventable incidents at schools. There is common ground here that our politicians are not finding. We can find it.
Especially if you are a hunter or gun collector, please join our Sandpoint High School students at City Beach on Saturday, March 24, at 10 a.m. to rally for common-sense gun reform. Our children have invited us to join them in support of tackling this critical issue. Now is the time. Decisive measures are needed to reduce gun violence.
Let’s talk to each other and solve this problem. Come armed with your ideas!
