How ridiculous that people can think they can stop this bridge from being built by the railroad over our beautiful water. The railroad is so powerful they will just do whatever they want to do whenever they want to do it. So yes, they will build that bridge no matter how many meetings where local folks speak out against that bridge and how many letters of protest are written.
However, if the politicos of Bonner County and surrounding counties get together and hire an outside source, other than railroad people, to do a complete inspection of every inch of railroad track and all of the crossings and the signs and other equipment making sure everything is safe and working properly then have the railroads be responsible to make all the necessary repairs the outside source finds on the tracks and crossing equipment, etc. After all of the repairs are made and inspected by the outside source costing the railroads millions then maybe, just maybe they will think twice about building that lousy bridge.
