In response to Bonnie Jakubos letter about Tony McDermott’s opinion letter. She is the one with the half truths.

Yes, the wildlife is managed by the Idaho Department of Fish & Game but in the sense in a wilderness all they can do is control seasons and tag numbers. The Forest Service manages the habitat and as a biologist you should know their hands are tied in a wilderness as to controlled burns, thinning, or spraying, things that help create browse for our ungulates.

By locking up the lower ares of the proposed wilderness you are serving the demise of valuable winter habitat for wildlife. Also for your info. F4WM is not just a bunch of local wolf trappers. They are statewide with many more member from other states, and they can trap in wilderness areas but access is next to impossible due to season restrictions and laws which they follow.

P.S.: Read the article not just the headlines.
