SANDPOINT — Dan Harder and Nathan Hansen are leading the Lake Pend Oreille Idaho Club’s annual spring fishing derby.
Harder tops the adult rainbow trout standings with a 18.54-pound catch that measured 34 inches. Hansen leads the adult lake trout standings with 38 1/8-inch Mackinaw that tipped the scales at 25.54 pounds.
David Gillespie and George Weeks round out the top-three finishers in the adult rainbow standings with trouts which weighed 14.90 and 14.58 ponds, respectively. Gary Thompson and Scott Plue round out the Mack standings with 23 and 21 pounders, respectively.
Greg Hoskins leads the walleye hunt with an 8-pounder which measured 29 1/2 inches. No leaders have emerged in the junior rainbow class, although Patrick Elmore is heading up the junior Mack standings with a 10-pounder that measured nearly 30 inches.
Kailyn Gingerich leads the Youth A standings with a 12-pound Mack, while Owen Peterson is atop the Youth B standings with a 15-pound rainbow trout. Bert Dennet heads up the German brown trout standings with a 19 1/2-pounder.
