Wilks, Deprez pace Bulldog golfers

POST FALLS — Lake Wilks carded an 85 to lead the Bulldog boys at Twin Lakes Village, while CeCe Deprez shot 91 to lead the best team score of the season for the Bulldog girls at The Links, as the Sandpoint golf team was in action Friday at the Lakeland Invite.

Hattie Larson shot 93 and Hannah Hurst 96 for the girls, who finished one stroke behind Lakeland in the final tuneup before districts on Monday.

“That was our best girls team score all year, they’re all playing well,” said Bulldog coach Tom Tharp. “Annaby Kanning has shot 97s the last two times out.”

Sandpoint hosts the 4A Region 1 golf championships on Monday at the Idaho Club, with the top team and top three individuals earning spots at state.
