It is a sign that spring has sprung as the annual Mother’s Day flower baskets go on sale at Lake Pend Oreille High School on Monday. The petunias were slow to bloom this year due to the cooler weather, but as it is warming up outside, the flowers will soon be spilling over the edge of their pots. The flower baskets, which come in three different colors, will be available on week days between 7 a.m.-4 p.m.; the cost is $20 each.
