Registration set for kindergarten

Kindergarten and new student registration is taking place next week at the Lake Pend Oreille School District.

Registration is taking place at all LPOSD elementary schools from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, May 7, through Friday, May 11.

Parents or legal guardians need to bring:

- Proof of residency showing physical address (i.e. utility bill, rental agreement, etc.)

- Certified birth certificate from the state in which the child was born (not a hospital certificate)

- Complete immunization records showing 5 DTP, 4 Polio, 2 MMR, 3 Hepatitis B, 2 Varicella (Chicken Pox), and 2 Hepatitis A

It is essential students register in the spring so that district officials will know how many classes are needed for fall.

If you are unsure of your child’s school attendance zone, contact the LPOSD transportation office (208-263-3522). For registration questions, contact the school or the LPOSD office (208-263-2184). For immunization questions call Panhandle Health District (208-263-5159) or the LPOSD nurses (208-263-9525, ext.1209).
