I support Tom Kealey for election as our state treasurer. Tom’s experience makes him the best qualified for this job. The state treasurer manages and invests billions of idaho dollars, ensures the state’s credit rating remains high, and provides financial services to state and local agencies. Tom has the knowledge to carry out his duties as state treasurer the day he steps into office.

Tom has a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting, and an MBA from Harvard. He was a certified public accountant for many years and served as a financial advisor on many public and private executive boards. Tom also served Idaho for 14 years as a member of the Idaho Endowment Fund Investment Board. He believes in conservative investing which helped the fund nearly triple in size during his tenure and he helped distribute much of that money to Idaho public schools. Tom’s financial knowledge is irrefutable and invaluable to the success of Idaho.

Tom’s success is not only attributable to his knowledge, but also to his leadership. He believes in collaborative servant leadership. Throughout his campaign Tom has listened to Idahoan’s concerns and ideas on improving the State Treasurer’s office. Actions like these demonstrate that Tom really does understand and want to serve the people of Idaho.
