In Idaho’s District 1A House race there really is no contest.
You have Representative Heather Scott, a proven fighter, and then the “other guy” who can’t decide whether he’s a conservative or a “moderate,” so he uses both terms depending on which way the conversation is heading. Who does that? Certainly not a real Republican. I’ve observed him in forums, and I question whether he is aware of, or agrees with, any layer of the true Republican platform.
Complaining incessantly about the poor quality of our roads, forests and schools, he says that’s the “reason“ he is running. Which begs the question what he was doing for the last 20 years as these declines were occurring? Was he oblivious or part of the problem? And since he was one of Shawn Keogh’s biggest supporters, I assume that he had no issue with the planned crony capitalism of her world.
His most recent attack ads paint Representative Scott as an “out-of-stater.” Actually he should be thanking her for having the courage he couldn’t muster to stand up and protect a North Idaho way of life she saw as unique and beautiful. One would expect that of a fourth generation Idahoan.
Let’s reward Heather Scott’s hard work and commitment with two more years of true representative acumen in the Idaho House.
Please vote for her on May 15.
