It is very concerning that the Northern Lights, Inc. board of directors, including most prominently, state senator candidate Jim Woodward would engage in fleecing the NLI co-operative members by previously awarding themselves a $2,700 (plus/minus) monthly (stipend and insurance compensation) for a minimum number of work hours.
The NLI ballot received in the mail, due back to NLI by May 11 and not to be confused with the county election ballot, had an accompanying letter declaring, that “a small number of NLI members,” equaling three times the minimum number of signatures required for an annual meeting petition, were gained. The number in excess of 50 was so un-liked by the NLI board, that by unanimous vote, they proposed by ballot to raise the minimum number of signatures required for future petition initiative(s) to 1,000. That should stop the membership revolt.
So, the entire NLI board thinks that minority membership needs to be silenced. This is not good representation J.W. This, among other reasons, is why consideration for state senator should go to Scott Herndon. In the midst of a state senate campaign, Woodward could not find his way to disagree with the board and side with the membership … a telling and frightening representational harbinger should J.W. be elected.
Every incumbent of the NLI board of directors, in the next four years, should be removed from NLI office. NLI members, carefully read this year’s two NLI ballot items. Vote against J.W. and for Scott Herndon, Idaho Senate on May 15.
