Whenever elections roll around, my post office box fills up with mailers from a number of candidates running for various offices. I sort my mail and stuff the mailers in the already over-flowing trash can next to the door, without reading them. I notice other people doing the same thing.

Do these candidates honestly think that people will read these stupid mailers, and if they do read them they’ll be influenced to vote for the candidate on the mailer? Same goes for bumper stickers and yard signs. Waste of trees.
