Bully. When I use that word, I immediately relate it to Dan McDonald in that he treated me very disrespectfully, rudely, with confrontation and indignation on three separate occasions.

I had contacted him concerning water and safety problems on the Pend Oreille River. He started bullying me with responses which were not all truthful. He said commissioners had no control over water problems on the Pend Oreille River and it wasn’t their jurisdiction. I have since learned there is a committee appointed by commissioners to deal with these problems.

Last year, two boys drowned at the Morton Slough boat launch. I contacted Mr. McDonald requesting a no-swimming sign be posted in the area. He became confrontational saying they had no control over the area. All he had to do was to be polite, say he would contact the responsible agency and make the request. Instead, he kept arguing there were signs, which was not true as we double-checked.

I contacted him asking for solutions to the wakeboard problem. Instead of being polite and willing to work with me, he became very confrontational and downright rude. He does not know how to deal with or work with the public, and should not be a Bonner County commissioner, who needs to be able to work with people.

I would strongly urge everyone to vote for Carol Kunzeman as she is more than polite, very knowledgeable and knows how to get things done. She would be a fantastic improvement over a person who likes to bully people and has no respect for their constituents. Carol Kunzeman’s experience in government and business, along with our personal experience in how she has been very caring and concerned, following up with us by personal letter and email on the wakeboard issue demonstrates her exemplary qualifications to be a county commissioner.

We highly recommend Carol Kunzeman for commissioner.
