It is with great excitement that Little Lambs Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten announces the addition of Kath Howard to the teaching staff for the 2018-2019 school year.

Little Lambs continues to grow and will be adding a second Kindergarten class next year with Mrs. Howard as the teacher. Kath Howard is a WSU graduate and has over 25 years of teaching experience; teaching both kindergarten and first grade. Throughout her teaching career, Mrs. Howard has shown a proven aptitude to inspire the joy of learning in her students. She is an experienced teacher and has knowledge of key subject matter; has good communication and rapport with parents and staff; has strong classroom management skills; and has a love for all God’s children.

Mrs. Howard believes that home, school and church are the ideal setting in which knowledge and faith grow to meet the essential needs of the whole child.

“It is a great joy for me to watch and be part of child’s growth in a safe, nurturing, learning environment that works with the child at his/her level and meets the need of the whole child,” she said. “Spiritually, mentally, socially, developmentally, emotionally, intellectually and culturally are a child’s key areas of development. When a student is cheered on in each of these areas, he/she flourishes. Quality education builds healthy self-esteem to help a child be the best he/she can be!”

With the goal of reaching each child in a learning environment that is suited to their style of learning, Little Lambs incorporates song, movement and exploration. The school allows their love of Jesus and all He has given to permeate their classrooms. Emphasis is placed on developmentally appropriate practices designed specifically for their young learners. Little Lambs embraces a child’s natural curiosity and uses that as a tool to build engaging curriculum. Class sizes are kept small in order to provide a learning environment that respects the needs of these young children.
