Unfading Beauty, Uganda’s mission is to empower Ugandan women with the skills to build a successful career and the ability to provide a stable life for their families.
Founding directors Shelby and Aubry, are cousins born and raised in North Idaho. Their families each adopted children from Uganda in 2015.
While staying in Uganda together during the adoption process, they saw firsthand the harsh reality of families in poverty. After meeting the amazing kids in the orphanage, from which they adopted their boys, they knew their hearts would always be connected to Uganda; and that connection is rapidly growing into more than they could ever have imagined. In 2016 they sent one Ugandan mother to beauty school. Seeing how her success changed her helped them to realize the best way to change the lives of Ugandan children: to walk hand in hand with their mothers. Their vision is to send many more mothers to various trade schools in Kampala, empowering these women to change their lives and the lives of those dear to them.
Bring your favorite tea cup and saucer and join us to hear the stories of Ugandan women as they journey through school into careers that help them and their families.
