Linda Jean Hockett, 58, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in Clark Fork, Idaho. Private family services have been held.
Linda was born on June 29, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, to Omer and Barbara Beshir. She grew up and attended schools in Chicago. Linda served her country in the United States Army, where she served as a drill sergeant while deployed in Germany.
After moving to North Idaho, she held several jobs; Sandpoint City Hall, Bonner County jailer/bailiff, and for the sewer district in the city of Hope. She married Danny Hockett in 2006 in Las Vegas and the couple drove long haul trucks together.
Linda volunteered for the American Wildlife Heritage Foundation. She loved to play darts and pool. She also enjoyed hiking, kayaking, fishing and boating.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Hockett of Clark Fork; two sisters, Gayle Beshir of Clark Fork and Jan (Greg) Mattison of Spirt Lake; nieces Alyssa Krieder and Bree Church; and nephew Matt Mattison. She is also survived by her dog “Dakota.”
