Local cleanup event Saturday

SANDPOINT — The annual downtown Sandpoint spring cleanup event is from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday.

Cleaning will take place from First to Fifth avenues along Cedar, Pine and every street in between, and extending down to the Sand Creek area. Coffee will be provided courtesy of Understory Coffee. Gloves and trash bags will be provide as well, though it is a BYOB — bring your own broom — event. The cleanup is family friendly and well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Meet at the Under-story and Petal Talk parking lot, 120 Cedar, at 8 a.m. for assignments.
