LEWISTON — Senior T.J. Davis had a stellar meet, breaking two school records en route to winning three events on Friday at day two of the 4A Region 1 Track and Field Championships at Lewiston High School.

Davis clocked a 14.99 to win the 110 high hurdles, and a 40.54 to win the 300 hurdles, while also running a leg on the 4x100 relay team. Davis broke the 110 record of R. Whitehead, set in 1955, and tied the 300 hurldles mark of 40.5 set by J.C. DaVault in 2000.

The girls team finished first overall, while the boys were second by just 6.5 points in the team standings.

Hannah Davidson won the 1,600 and 800, the Bulldog boys swept first through fourth in both the 1,600 and 800, and Julian Barajas was first in the 100 and 200 and was on the winning 4x100 team. Kyle Almeida won the 400, and Ciera Bailey was second, as both punched their ticket to state.

All told 19 Bulldogs qualified for the state meet next weekend.
