1. Not only have I heard the concerns of property owners, but of the Assessor’s staff as well. On my website, you can see things I have thought about for some time and as Assessor, I can accomplish them.

2. I have years of experience in assessment, many hours of appraisal education, so I can lead the office on day one.

Without this experience, the Assessor is learning on the job or dependent on others for the day to day operations.

3. One issue facing the county Assessor’s Office is the lawsuit filed by a number of Priest Lake Property owners and how we prevent this from occurring again.

By having a knowledgeable, well trained staff we can avoid this problem as well as providing an accurate, fair and equitable assessment.

4. At this time, Idaho has no role. After testing and the start of the permitting process, Idaho may be able to address any concerns through the Department of Environmental Quality and Idaho Transportation Department.

5. I think it is a great idea that there is an advisory vote on the ballot so the citizens of Bonner County can decide.

6. In the beginning, I will be very busy speaking with all the staff as to their needs and ideas and ensure proper education and training.

I also will be setting up meetings with property owners, real estate officials and contractors.

After that my role will be to monitor the daily activities and plan for the future.

7. What happens to any department or business when an administrator has no expertise in the field they are trying to manage.

I know of some instances where this has occurred, and it didn’t go well.

8. That I have the experience to lead in my field. One reason is that I have the ability to listen to all ideas and then make the proper decisions.
