1: I have been inspired by work experiences of government overspending and inefficiency versus private industry, and I have encountered many instances where state government has strayed from the law of the state and federal constitutions and statutes. I am also inspired by legislators who want to strengthen state sovereignty.

2: I have 16 years of experience working in finance, audit and large financial systems for companies like Charles Schwab, Toyota and Los Angeles County. We definitely need legislators that understand finance and the fiscal impacts of every federal program and prospective state legislation.

3. I am presently opposed to the smelter based on the reports of the expected levels of air pollution that will be emitted by this facility that will travel downwind to all residents of our district. As a prospective legislator, I am also highly concerned about the smelter because of the strong opposition of many district 1 residents.

4. Education and transportation. Specifically, our schools need to focus more attention on trade skills, technical skills and entrepreneurship, which will lag demand for quite some time. Our district also needs to acquire more funding and better management of the state highways. We also need to encourage more technology infrastructure.

5. Idaho needs to respect the rights of law abiding, caring parents to have the final authority over medical decisions for their children without the state second guessing. Second: The rules of the senate need to be changed since committee chairmen can squash bills against the will of legislators and the people (2018 CBD oil bill).

6. Sometimes people claim I am too conservative, but the reality is that I care about a lot of issues that are completely non-partisan, and I advocate for a lot of issues that benefit both the left and the right of the political spectrum. Even my extreme care for the constitution benefits residents of all political philosophies.

7. We need legislators that take their oaths seriously to uphold the constitutions as the law of Idaho. Sometimes that means legislators can’t do what the people demand because it would violate the constitutions. So, voters should care less what our legislators think about issues and more what their understanding is of law.

8. I oppose the federal wilderness designation simply because of the constitution and the federal government’s poor record of land management. The US constitution suggests the states should control the land in their borders, and designating Scotchman Peaks federal wilderness would forever remove it from state control.

9. More diversity in health coverage and move away from large, single payer coverage. I am a member of Samaritan Ministries which has paid 100% of the medical expenses of my family of 10 for only $495/month. The US has the highest healthcare expense partly because the government is the single biggest payer.

10. Question: Is the United States Supreme Court supreme over every state legislative and Idaho executive action or statute? Answer: Only when SCOTUS renders a lawful opinion. A proper check and balance in our constitution is Idaho’s right to ignore or defy unconstitutional federal court opinions.
