Jump into rock 'n' roll time machine for '50s fun
SANDPOINT – Jump in the rock ‘n’ roll time machine, because this weekend is all about Lost in the ’50s!
The fun starts tonight with the Rock n’ Roll Heaven concert at the fairgrounds, picks up speed on Friday with the car parade, street dance and the first of two stellar concert dances. Friday fun includes RFB playing the Retro Prom Party at Evans Brothers. On Saturday, it’s the downtown car show and the second concert dance out at the fairgrounds.
While you’re out and about, take in the Sandpoint Farmers Market and the ‘50s Cruiser Bike Ride starting from Greasy Fingers Bikes ‘N’ Repair – both on Saturday. Of course, there’s live music pouring out of every venue starting this evening and going for all eternity – or nearly so.

Thursday, May 17
Lost in the ‘50s ‘Rock n’ Roll Heaven’
Venue: Bonner County Fairgrounds, 4203 N. Boyer, in Sandpoint.
Time: Doors open at 6 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m.
This popular show sells out almost every year and is the opening event for the 33rd annual Lost in the ‘50s celebration. This year’s performers are Justin Shandor as Elvis, Sting Ray Anthony as Richie Valens, and Lance Lipinsky as Jerry Lee Lewis.Ticket information: 208-263-9321
Wyatt Wood
Venue: MickDuff’s Beer Hall, 220 Cedar St., in Sandpoint.
Time: 6 p.m.
Come out for the Thursday night solo music series featuring Spokane Valley native Wyatt Wood. With more than 15 years of music experience and an education in Music Production, Wyatt is doing what he knows best, playing tunes for fans!

Kevin Dorin & Viking Fest
Venue: Skal Tap Room, 476930 Highway 95, in Ponderay.
Time: 2-8 p.m.
Come celebrate Norway’s Independence Day with live music by Kevin Dorin performing from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., a scavenger bike ride, Viking vendors, a costume contest and giveaways! Awards for the costume contest takes place at 7 p.m.

Lost in the ‘50s Vintage Car Parade
Venue: Downtown Sandpoint
Time: Parade starts at 6 p.m.
Come see the cars in action, as they parade through downtown Sandpoint, looping first east down Church Street then north up First Avenue and back west up Cedar Street. Pick a spot anywhere along the parade route.
Lost in the ‘50s Street Dance
Venue: Second & Main in Downtown Sandpoint.
Time: Starts immediately after the car parade
It’s boogie time for the young and young-at-heart, DJ’d by perennial favorite Bashful Dan.
Admission: Free and open to the public.
Lost in the ‘50s Show & Dance
Venue: Bonner County Fairgrounds, 4203 N. Boyer, in Sandpoint.
Time: Doors open at 6:30 p.m., show starts at 7:30 p.m.
This show features La La Brooks, the original lead singer of The Crystals, and Dennis Tufano, the lead singer of The Buckinghams from 1965-1970. And don’t forget the best oldies band in the nation, Rocky and the Rollers!

RFB plays Retro Prom Party
Venue: Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters, 524 Church St., in Sandpoint.
Time: 7 p.m.-late
This fundraiser for Bike CDA features local favorite RFB playing hits from the ‘80s and ‘90s, plus DJ Mercury spinning dance beats. Come dressed to impress. Cash bar, food trucks, good times.
Devon Wade Band

Lost in the ‘50s Vintage Car Show

Sandpoint will be burstin’ at the seams with hundreds of hot rods and classics on display all up and down First, Cedar, Main, Second and Third avenues. The cars arrive early, with the crowds invited to stroll and check them out. There’s music, food and fun to be had, so be there!
