FBCS hosting annual World's Fair

| May 29, 2018 1:00 AM

Forrest Bird Charter Middle School’s annual World’s Fair will be held Wednesday, May 30.

The event, held from 4-6 p.m., will be held at the FBCS field, weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, the World’s Fair will be held at the FBCS Middle School. It is free to attend and open to the public.

The World’s Fair, an annual event hosted by the FBCS Middle School Social Studies Department, celebrates America’s Western migration, countries, cultures, and ancient civilizations from around the world. Families and children are encouraged to attend the fun and educational cultural experience.

Student-led booths featuring cultural displays and culinary delicacies will be open from 4 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

The goal of the FBCS World’s Fair is to increase understanding and appreciation of history, cultures and ancient civilizations from around the world. The event also offers a chance for FBCS students to showcase their heritage or a culture in which they have an interest. Students use their creativity to produce elaborate booths representing the countries or cultures they have selected. These exhibits include art, artifacts, videos, and clothes. We encourage families and visitors to question

The event also serves as an important fundraiser. All proceeds raised from raffle sales are support the Social Studies Department and the eighth grade Yellowstone trip.
