SANDPOINT — Come out and kick off summer vacation with the Sandpoint Affordable Football League, which will be hosting a free two day June Bulldog Camp on Friday and Saturday, June 1-2 from 6-8 p.m. each night at Great Northern Field.

The camp will feature both football and cheer with focus on development and fun. Cheer will work on SAFL cheers and stunts while football will focus on agility, strength and positional skills. Special guests will be helping coach camp from Sandpoint High School and various colleges.

This camp is offered to all kids who will be entering 3rd through 8th grade this coming fall, and is a great opportunity for athletes to try either sport prior to the start of the season, or to just come out and have fun with their friends.

SAFL would like to thank Idaho Forest Group, The Blue Heron Cafe, P1FCU, Sweet’n Low, and Lignetics for sponsoring the 2018 season. This summer SAFL will also be sponsoring Jacy’s Race and operating a Fireworks stand in Ponderay.

“It’s been unreal seeing youth athletes out and helping with fundraisers and community events such as the Lost in the 50s street dance,” said SAFL cheer director Sara Garrison. “We would also like to thank all of our volunteers for donating time developing another great season.”

SAFL’s mission is to ensure that every kid that wants to play football or cheer gets the opportunity. The league continues to raise enough funds to offer scholarships and other services for those families in need in a simple and discreet manner.

SAFL is a 501(c)(1) non-profit organization that is operated by volunteers. SAFL is USA Football compliant, making for a better and safer game.
