Regarding the proposed second railroad bridge across Lake Pend Oreille, I have to agree with Paul Engle’s letter (May 22, Daily Bee). How can adding a second railroad bridge across the lake alleviate vehicle congestion at railroad crossings, when the number of trains will increase, but the number of railroad tracks will remain the same? I’d appreciate an explanation on the foregoing, because quite frankly, it doesn’t make sense to me.
