Deputies, Clark Fork Ambulance, Clark ForK Fire and Sam Owen Fire crews responded after a chicken coop caught fire on Hope Avenue in Hope at 12:19 a.m.

An unattended death was reported on Baldy Mountain Road at 12:09 a.m.

SANDPOINT POLICE

Oct. 18

Accidental 911 activation was reported on N. Division Avenue at 7 a.m.

A follow-up report was taken in the Sapphire Court area at 8:05 a.m.

After a report of a suspicious individual in the 200 block of E. Superior Street at 9:31 a.m., an officer contacted the male and advised he was fine.

After a welfare check request at 10:36 a.m., an officer checked on a female in the 1300 block of Hickory Street and advised she was fine.

Officers contacted a known local at 12:35 p.m. in the 200 block of N. Division Avenue who has medical issues and often appears intoxicated; he was fine

An officer was unable to locate the source of a 911 hang-up call in the E. Lake Street area at 2:44 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate a reported drunken driver in the area of Fifth and Larch at 4:19 p.m.

An officer assisted at a non-reportable collision in a parking lot in the 600 block of Larch Street at 4:56 p.m.

A male was placed on a detox hold in the 600 block of Larch Street at 6:07 p.m. after a verbal domestic. An officer advised that the family was afraid the situation would escalate if he returned home for the evening, due to his high level of intoxication.

An officer was unable to locate a tractor-trailer reported in the area of City Beach on Bridge Street at 6:40 p.m., whose driver may need medical assistance.

An officer contacted a group of juveniles in the 2000 block after a reported problem at 7:13 p.m.; they were fine.

After a report of suspicious circumstances in the 900 block of Spruce Street at 8:57 p.m., an officer was unable to locate anyone in the area.

An officer advised that a report of threats on S. Division Avenue at 10:15 p.m. was unfounded and that the incident was already being investigated by Coeur d’Alene Police.

An officer advised that no one would answer the door in the 4100 block of Samuelson Avenue after a noise complaint was received at 2:08 a.m.
