What is going on my friends? Our 20 acres of vacant land taxes in Pend Oreille County were raised to $361.42. At the same time Commissioner Stephen Kiss’s purchased 53 acres of public land from the PUD in November 2016 at $8,600 under the assessed value and lowered the property taxes to $38.16 per year. On top of that our property tax in Idaho has doubled since 2016. It went from $1106.24 to $2190.24 in two years. During the very same time Commissioner Dan McDonald raised his salary from $65,000 to $78,000 plus benefits a year.

To me this is outrageous and an abuse of public office. We the people are not here for public officials to profit off of or for them to rule over. We are not their servants. We, the people, need to put a stop to the abuse of public office.
