SANDPOINT — Mediation is being conducted in the case of a Bonner County man accused of repeatedly molesting two minors, court records show.

A mediation hearing in Jess Robert Logan’s case is set for Dec. 6 before Senior District Judge Steve Verby.

Logan was indicted in June by a Bonner County grand jury on three counts of a lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor and two counts of sexual abuse of a minor. He was also accused of engaging in bestiality, according to the indictment.

The misconduct occurred between 2013 and 2015, when the two female victims were about 6 and 8 years old, respectively.

Logan is accused of touching both girls’ genitals and engaging in genital-on-genital contact with the 6-year-old. He’s further accused of exposing the girls to pornographic videos and performing oral sex on a dog, according to court documents.

Logan, 38, is free on a $10,000 surety bond while the case is pending.

Logan was prosecuted in 2015 for engaging in lewd conduct with one of the alleged victims named in the indictment. The case was ultimately dismissed because the girl had essentially shut down, which hampered prosecution of the case, Bonner County Prosecutor Louis Marshall said after Friday’s hearing.

However, charges were revived and expanded with after grand jury proceedings earlier this summer.
