Sagle Senior Citizens, Inc., continues to meet on the first and third Wednesdays of each month to enjoy a potluck lunch and association with neighbors. It maintains Monarch Road Community Center, 650 Monarch Road, in Sagle, for its own use and for use by Triangle United Club, Sunday “Jam Session,” Sagle Saddle Tramps (4-H), occasional dancers, a polling site for Sagle Precinct and activities by numerous other individuals and groups in Bonner County. The corporation is not going of business; the community center is not closing; members are not at odds with one another.

Sagle Senior Thrift Store in Algoma was closed last September when volunteer workers were no longer available Our membership, in unanimous vote of the 21 persons who were present, decided to offer the building for sale to finance future programs and activities. Without the thrift store, there is no other reliable source of income.

Responding to the four letters that have been published about our group to date, perhaps it is best to love our neighbors, speak well of one another, and avoid the temptation to criticize those who are doing their best.
