CLOSING DAYS TAKE SANDPOINT BOY

The second member of Battery C, formerly Company A of Sandpoint, has given his life upon the battlefield. Peter Dellinger received news from the war department stating his son, John F. Dellinger, had died from wounds Oct. 15. No particulars have been received by the family.

Private John F. Dellinger was 22 years of age. He came with his parents from Wisconsin 11 years ago and resided here at all times except when military duty took him away. A brother and two sisters survive, in addition to the parents.

Young Dellinger was highly respected in the community and was a general favorite with the company.
