UNVEILING OF FLAGS DEFERRED

Sandpoint and Bonner county, thanks to the Girls’ Sunset club, will unfurl service flags. When the flags were ordered, the county was entitled to 660 stars, but now 45 stars will have to be added to cover the total of Bonner county boys in the service; there were 285 Sandpoint men in the army and now the number is 313.

Plans were being made for a public unveiling Sunday, but Mayor Ewing issued a further ban on public meetings, and the unfurling will not be held until the influenza situation clears up.

NO MORE SOLDIERS CALLED NOW

The county registration board was informed of an order calling off all movements of troops from the counties to the camps. The order affected six men called recently to Camp Lewis and whose departure from here had been deferred until last Monday. When the men appeared, they were told they had no chance now to get into the army.
