Carol Ann Burnett was born Oct. 5, 1926, and at 92 years old, passed away on Nov. 23, 2018.

Carol was born in Florida and moved to California where she met and married Gene Monroe. They had four children. Later she married Bob Burnett from Manhattan Beach, Calif., he was a dentist.

Carol was Miss D Day during World War II.

She worked as a waitress, a hostess and later sold antiques, and for most of her adult life, she sold real estate.

Carol lived in Hope, Idaho, and Cabo San Lucas for approximately 22 years, spitting her time between the two places. She traveled extensively and was blessed to see most of the world.

Carol was preceded in death by two husbands, Gene Monroe and Bob Burnett; two sisters, Joyce and Suzanne; and her mother and father, Neil and Doris Purcell.

Carol is survived by her two brothers, Dave Purcell of Newport Beach, Calif., and Neil Purcell of Cottonwood, Calif.; four children, Sue (Becky) Sharp of Las Vegas, Nev., Richard (Jennie) Monroe of Priest River, Idaho, Kathy (Mark) Pogan of Corona, Calif., and Steve (Denise) Monroe of Santa Rosa, Calif.

Carol lived, loved and laughed, and she had a very full life. She will be missed by many.

There will be a memorial service later. If anyone would like to honor her life and death, a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association organization for a cure would be greatly appreciated.
